For many years, our preserves were made by the lovely Anita & Richard at Miranda's Preserves but since their retirement, we have decided to make our own!
These exquisite traditional chutneys and jellies have been developed specially to partner our smoked foods. They are all handmade by our friend Mark, using only traditional methods and the best ingredients.
Our Sweet Beetroot Chutney is an aromatic and earthy pickle filled with beetroot, apples and onion with a hint of horseradish. It's particularly good with Oak Roasted Salmon, Smoked Mackerel and Smoked Trout.
The Cranberry & Fig Chutney, with cranberries, apples and figs, is the perfect parner for our Cooked and Glazed Hams and our Welsh cheeses. It's fruity enough to serve with Smoked Poultry and game.
The Hedgerow & Port Jelly replaces our best selling Cranberry & Claret Jelly. It's rich & festive but not too sweet - a firm favourite with our Smoked Duck, Glazed Ham or with leftover turkey.
Although the Spiced Citrus Jelly is a fragrant friend to Smoked Duck and Smoked Chicken, it's also excellent with Smoked Mackerel and Traditional Smoked Salmon.
Apple Cider Jelly is wonderfully refreshing with smoked poultry and also delicious with cheese and ham.
Our Seville Orange Marmalade is not only for breakfast! The sweet and sharp flavour is surprisingly good with Smoked Duck and Smoked Chicken.
