Meet the 2025 Christmas Team

Christmas at Black Mountains Smokery is always a special time, but it’s also our busiest by far! As the festive season approaches, the smokery comes alive with longer days, countless orders, and a real sense of teamwork as we prepare thousands of Christmas orders for customers from near and far. From packing and posting to smoking and slicing, every corner of the business is working flat out to make sure Christmas runs smoothly. It’s a huge team effort and we couldn’t do it without all of our wonderful gappies and team.

To keep up with the festive rush, we’re lucky enough to welcome a brilliant team of young gappies who roll up their sleeves and dive straight in. From early mornings to long days, they help to pack thousands of Christmas parcels, making sure your orders head out the door on time and in perfect condition. Quite simply, we couldn’t do it without their energy, commitment, and good sense of humour (and great warehouse tunes!)

Behind the scenes, our office team has been working flat out too, taking orders, handling admin, keeping the shop running smoothly, and making sure everything stays on track during the Christmas chaos.  A big thank you to all the office for their incredible organisation and dedication this Christmas, we couldn’t do it without them!

And of course, none of it would be possible without our incredible production team, who’ve been busy smoking all the food that makes Christmas at Black Mountains Smokery so special. They’ve worked tirelessly to make everyone’s Christmas super smokey and absolutely delicious! A big thank you to our production team for their incredible hard work and skill this Christmas.
