Delivery to most Scottish Islands is unavailable as our courier will not carry perishable items for longer than 2 days. (see below)

When placing an order, please use the postcode look up to input your delivery address. If you have a problem finding their correct address, please phone us. I’m afraid we cannot be liable for parcels misdelivered due to incorrect postcode and address details.

How & When to Order

Our deliveries are made by DPD Couriers.

You can select delivery on your day of choice (Tuesday – Friday). Order in advance to arrive in time for a birthday, anniversary or any special occasion.

Orders can normally be delivered within 3 days of being received; and often by the next day. However, it is advisable to order well in advance especially over busy periods or for larger quantities.  Certain products are only produced to order, such as Hams & Gravadlax.

Ordering in advance helps us to plan production to deliver the freshest produce with the longest shelf life. Our produce is freshly prepared, with shelf life of at least 10 – 20 days. It is suitable for home freezing (except Smokey Jo’s Pates).

You can select your preferred delivery date at checkout.  Weekend and Monday deliveries are excluded to ensure that your order is delivered within the working week. UK Bank Holidays & Public Holidays and the day after them are also excluded for delivery.

Parcels do not need to be signed for but it is advisable to provide leave safe delivery instructions, should you or your recipient be out. Please warn your recipients to expect their deliveries so that the contents can reach a fridge in good time.

Where possible, please include a mobile number for the delivery address so that the recipient can receive delivery update texts from the DPD driver and provide directions when requested.  Please note that we cannot be responsible for parcels delayed where the recipient independently rearranges the delivery date with DPD.

 

Our Delivery Service includes

  • Chilled delivery on your day of choice (Tuesday – Friday)
  • Beautifully packed parcels, especially gifts and hampers with handwritten gift messages
  • Insulated & sustainable outer packaging. Our cardboard boxes are all recyclable, inner foil liners are reusable and any wool insulation is compostable.
  • A dedicated tracking service. We will provide you and your recipient with tracking information and we also track every parcel to its destination.
  • Premium morning delivery (Postcode dependent) – £5 surcharge

 

Christmas Deliveries & Collections

We make special arrangements to cope with the Christmas demand. Orders required in time for Christmas and New Year should be placed ASAP in November and early December with a Christmas delivery date requested. Though we try to keep our order book open as long as possible, it usually closes by the 10th of December. Please note that delivery on a specific day during this period cannot be absolutely guaranteed. We track every parcel to its destination, however we are at the mercy of our couriers once parcels leave us.

Main Christmas delivery will be 14th – 17th & 21st – 23rd December 2021. The first available delivery date post-Christmas is 12th January 2022.

Christmas collections can be placed online or over the phone. Online will only offer collections up to and including the 22nd December. If you would prefer to collect on the 23rd or 24th, please phone us to change the order.

Please note that Gravadlax is not produced in December and our cooked and glazed hams are only produced to order.

  • Gravadlax should be ordered for November delivery. Store in the freezer for the big occasion – it freezes very well!
  • Cooked and Glazed Hams must be ordered in advance by 3rd December. Christmas deliveries containing ham will be shipped for delivery on Tuesday 21st Smokery Shop collections can be completed up until Noon on Christmas Eve.

Customer Service

Packages can occasionally be delayed, or even undelivered, by the courier. Please contact us as soon as you have any concerns about your parcel. The quicker we know the better.
