White Castle Rose Wine 75cl

Harvested in 2022, the first picking of Pinot Noir Precose planted in 2019, blended with their popular White Castle Siegerrebe white wine to create a perfect blush pink summer wine. The result is a beautiful light wine; a perfect accompaniment to charcuterie, cheese, or canapés. An ideal aperitif.

White Castle Vineyard’s quality Welsh wines have won many awards and competitions including Welsh Wines of the Year, The International Wine Challenge and Wine GB.

Tasting notes

“We have carefully selected varieties that we know will grow well in our soil and produce grapes of the highest possible quality in the microclimate of the vineyard.

The grapes are closely monitored, as they ripen they will be carefully hand-harvested and selected, then immediately transported to the winery for pressing to ensure we retain all the freshness and fruity aromas intact.”

Robb and Nicola Merchant purchased 5 acres of gently sloping, south-facing Monmouthshire pasture in 2008. May 2009 saw the planting of 4000 vines namely, Pinot Noir, Regent, Rondo, Seyval Blanc & Phoenix.  May 2010 saw a further planting of 800 Siegerrebe vines.  May 2019 marked their 10th Anniversary and to mark this milestone they have planted a further 2000 vines  - more Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc.
