Pwll Mawr is a local, hand-produced Welsh cheddar, matured in the historic cellars of the Lion Hotel, Blaenafon and brought to us for smoking! Its mature yet creamy flavour is wonderfully complimented by natural oak smoking.
Smoked cheese makes an interesting addition to a classic cheeseboard and a really good ingredient - or just enjoy a chunk in your fingers with a crisp apple!
Try using our smoked cheddar in a macaroni cheese or as a gratin on any bake.
We had the smoked duck and the smoked cheese last night and all our guests commented how good they were. I have recommended you to all that came.

Why do we charge £9.95 per delivery?
Our orders are hand-packed with great care in specialist insulated packaging and sent by overnight courier. No expense is spared to ensure your food arrives on time and in perfect condition. We pack all parcels with ice packs and foil insulation liners, which we hope you can reuse, including hand-written gift messages, where requested.
At Black Mountains Smokery we like to be transparent, we don’t hide our delivery charges elsewhere. We hope our quality of service and produce is worth the small extra cost.
